i have a problem with itunes and every time i click on the itunes icon i get a message saying itunes has encountered a problem and has to close please help

Try uninstalling iTunes and Quicktime, and then re-downloading iTunes from their website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download

i have deleted itunes and quicktime from my computer and downloaded itunes and quicktime from the net but the same thing happens?
