how do i get this port enabled ?
im using bit comet to download my torrent files but i cant get no download to go over 20k speed

I use bittorrent and what I had to do was go to there help site and find a program called [ tcpip ] this will help to open your ip address's and allow more connections.

Don't use port 6881. Choose a random one like 53195, and set bitTorrent to use that.

Then, opening that port will depend on your computer's setup. If you have a software firewall, then you'll need to open that port for TCP and UDP connections.

If you also use a router (if you have more than one computer in your house for example), then you'll need to open it there. Either do this manually by setting that specific port, or just make sure uPnP is enabled.

If you have a router and uPnP is enabled, then you'll need to make sure your bitTorrent client supports it too. Azureus is a very good one. (sometimes uPnP doesn't work that well, so you may want to set the ports on your router manually anyway.)
