Tasks

When I open "My Documents" and similar,I can get the list of folders column down the left-hand side,but I'm unable to change that column to "Tasks for files and folders" Has anyone any idea where it has gone???? Thanks.

Click on Tools/Folder Options
On the General tab in the Tasks section, click "Show Common Tasks in folders"

This is a good way to waste screen space as you can access all the tasks from the top menu and/or the right-click menu

Thanks rojash,you're right about the waste of space but I've got so used to seeing the column I wondered where it had gone.
