wireless connection

My wireless connection comes and goes. I have a Dell desk top computer and a Dell laptop. Both are less that a year old. My OS is XP Pro. My service provider is Time Warner, I have a Motorolla Modem with a Link-SYS router. Both computers are set up wireless. The whole system has worked for months no problems. Lately the internet connection has been unstable. Time Warner says there is no problem on that end. My system says I have connection. Any Ideas?.
