i cannot rid myself of the fiewall even using their removal tool,anyone know another way

Have you disabled Norton before running the removal tool? You can never uninstall an active program. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and enter the task manager. Use 'End Task' to close anything which looks like a reference to Norton, then try running the removal tool again.
