well er not random. It always repeats the same tracks far more than random probability could reasonable allow.

and yes all tunes are ticked

It's not truly random, nothing on a computer is.

Try making it more random in the preferences.

Also, it'll work better on a long list of songs. If you're playing randomly from a single album, it'll be less random.
