You will need to use iTunes, but it is free to download. If you already have music stored on your computer which you have been listening to via Windows Media player, iTunes can convert the files to AAC format, thus allowing you to copy to your iPod.
thanks for your reply - for some reason itunes doesnt
download properly - it says REGISTERY SETTINGS USED BY ITUNES DRIVERS FOR IMPORTING AND BURNING CDS AND DVDS ARE MISSING ??.......i've tried it a few times
