print from laptop to main pc help needed
ok here goes
i have a pc which at the moment runs with ntl i have a belkin router and hewlett packard printer nd downstairs i have a wi fi laptop which i currently use for internet
what i want to do is be able to print from my laptop to my printer which is connected to my pc upstairs
can someone tell me in idiot proof instructions how to do this
i think i have to enable print sharing on the upstairs computer but i am stuck after that.any help would be appreciated.i'm sure someone knows the answer as usual because this site is just brilliant for answers.fingers crossed

The pc that is connected to the printer will need to be switched on.
Alternatively, you can buy a router with a printer server - the printer plugs in to the router instead of a pc and can be used by any pc that is using the router.
The easiest way is to buy a cheap and cheerful flash drive, and transfer the file from laptop to pc for printing.
Or use a cdrw.
