I am currently using AVG 7.5 anti spyware, the free trial version. When this expires, can anyone recommend a free Anti spyware program please ?
Many thanks

AVG Free Edition is not time-limited and is as good (or better) than anything else available. Uninstall your current version of AVG and then install the one you can get by using the 'Download Now' link in the yellow box (or the link immediately underneath it, in the orangish-brown box):

Using that version of AVG, you'll still have the same level of anti-virus protection as before but without any time restrictions.

Apologies for my previous answer. I saw 'AVG 7.5' and read it as a reference to anti-virus software, rather than to anti-spyware. ('7.5' is the current version of their anti-virus product).
However, I still see no reason why you can't stick with the AVG anti-spyware product. At the end of the 30-day trial period, the 'bells and whistles' of the product cease to function but the essential elements of the program will continue to work normally. See here for further information:

If you want to try something else, Phil7's recommendation of SpyBot is a good one. Ad-Aware SE Personal also performs much the same functions:
