What do you mean by another suitable format? Excel is a format suitable for spreadsheets. Word is a word processor.
Do you want to put a section of a spreadsheet into a report which is compiled in Word?
If you do, highlight the area of the spreadsheet and press Ctrl-C or right click and select copy. Then position the cursor where you want the area of the spreadsheet to be and then select Edit >Paste Special >Paste as bitmap. The reason you cannot just paste in the cells is that very often it will become corrupted and distort when pasted in.
