I have Microsoft Works on my new computer and if I type a document at home I can't open it at work in Windows. Any ideas?

You need a Works to Word converter http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.asp x?********=B9E11E83-F51B-4977-B572-8C042DF802C 1&displaylang=en
Download it at work if you are allowed to or download it at home and convert it there.
In principle that should work.

Many thanks. I appreciate the advice.
Or use OpenOffice instead of Works.

It is a free office suite that is compatible with Office, which I assume is used by your workplace.

Another possibility - instead of Works, use Google Documents And Spreadsheets, again free.

This is web-based so your documents are stored on line and can be accessed from any pc in the world.

I love it - you can invite other people to read, edit or collaborate your documents, or keep them totally private.
