Microsoft Outook - sounds

My pc is on a Network and I have tried and tried to get a sound for incoming messages received on Microsoft Outlook. Of the 3 folders, Incoming (my personal folder) Incoming Correspondence and Outgoing Correspondence - common folders, I can only get a sound on my personal folder when I receive a personal message Has anyone got a suggestion where I am going wrong.
