XP user accounts

Hi all - I really need a hand - I have an old laptop with XP installed that i Remote Desktop onto to use when i need to. My question is when i remote ONTO the laptop use the Administrator account and password. But, when i log onto Administrator on the lappy ITSELF, the password does not work... I have tried changing the password remotely, but no luck. Now the only was i can use it remotely... Any ideas? PM

From control panel of the laptop, under System, Remote check you have the allow users to connect remotely to this computer box Also you may need to choose Select Remote Users and add your own username (or the administrator name) in the context of the domain you are logging in from.
