This sometimes happens if you plug the printer back in to a different USB port.
You should have first ensured that is was re-connected to the same port.
Then go to the printer in control panel and right-click it to bring up the options. Then ensure that it is selected as the default printer and used online.
The hand symbol signifies that the printer is set for sharing on a network, if you do not have a network, deselect this option.
Finally, select properties and ensure that the printer is set to the USB port and not LP1
