how do i play online game in full screen mode

My son has downloaded a game called tales of pirates but the game only fills the middle of the screen, i have tried to change it to full screen mode but im stuck on what to do. i right click and go into properties to change the screen size but the controls still play as if the screen is small size. can anyone help

sounds to me like it is a flash game ie uses macromedia flash player.if so, then it will only play as you already see it.
