I want to buy a really good monitor say 22". What is the best for working with graphics?

"best" is always a relative term .... what's your budget?
Nip down to your local supermarket ...
Try looking in a couple of PC mags
they all have "most wanted" lists

The Apple Cinema displays are among the best, especially in conjunction with a Mac. (You can use them perfectly well with Windows too though.)

Iiyama also make some really good monitors.
