Virus

I want to take my computer back to factory settings but I have a virus and have quarantined it in AVG,my question is when I go back to factory settings what happens to the virus is it deleted from the computer??

depends which virus you have ...
boot sector viruses live in the lower internals and can cling - but they take skill to write ... and most of the scum these days is designed to steal bank details.

generaly speaking if you've detected and dealt with the virus ... empty the vault ... do what's necessary check the system.
It depends how you restore factory

if it's done using an image ... you will almost certainly be safe .... if it's done with an install disc ... slightly less certain ...

but you know your checker IDs the virus ... so run it on your "clean" sysnem and it shouldn't be a problem.

Thankyou ACtheTROLL,I have a Dell computer and I gio back on their system to factory settings.
I have to press F2 key on my computer and do a few other things as well.
