screen capture why not?

I have a holiday video and would like to capture a still from it but when in WMP or real player i pause and press "Print Screen" and open it up and paste it in say Adobe or Paintshop Pro, the outer frame of the players only shows, yet when I move the frame around the screen the video still remains centre screen and will not paste into application unlike the frame. Anyone have a solution please as to get the still into the photoshops. I have XP,(It used to work ok on Win 98).

The full answer is quite complex .... just accept that is how it is.

the way to do it is to use a viewer which supports snapshots (try googling media player classic)

I downloaded SCREEN CAPTOR for free about a year ago and it's great. There are many features including a full edting facility. Much better than the print screen facility from my keyboard.
