Power cut!!!!!

Hi, we had a power cut last night and now my pc tower is dead!!!!! Could this be linked and if it is will I be able to claim on my house hold insurance?

The same thing happened to me when an idiot electrician from the council cut our power in our house without a warning and blew my power unit. I tried to claim from the council but he denied it. A new power unit is very cheap and if you cannot get one to fit then it's just as cheap to buy a new tower unit and have your pc guts transfered to the new one.
Also your insurance premium will not rise. Sorry I can't be more helpful

Depends what cause the outage. A surge could cause damage. You should be able to claim from your insurance. I would suggest you buy an anti surge extension lead. Yes I know, the horse has bolted already but for next time.

check the fuse in the plug I have seen a few where this expired and saved the PC
