I use Registry Mechanic, don`t know the one you mention.
Registry Mechanic always picks up and repairs the registry after I have run it.
I am sometimes a little cynical when these programmes find something everytime, they can build something into the programme to make it look good.

I've never seen a revew of this type of software that shows any benefit.
look in the trades ... and there are industrial strength unerase, password disc hardware network utilities that have been in use for years .....
not a single one of hem "fixes" the registry
in the homeuser market there are 100s and there is also a new category of malware - the false positive "tester"
some of the "more respected" progs will clear temp files and do general housekeeping also ... and that's no bad thing .... but unless you have problems the registry is best left alone.
I re-install windows once a year .... that certainly sorts out/fixes any problems .... other than that
