I am running windows XP and when I try using the DVD drive my computer "hangs" (freezes) and will not respond to ANY key press, so I have to manualy reboot using the reset button. I have replaced the DVD ROM and the cable. I have also tried a CD rom in place of the DVD but with the same results. This happens as soon as the DVD drawer closes and the disc starts to run, it also makes no difference what the disc contains (data, film etc)
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
