Help - my CD drive has disappeared

I can't understand why my CD drive is not recognised by my laptop - it's as if it doesn't exist and I've used it for months. I would get new drivers if I knew what to do - help please.

No Seriously, what is the make of your CD Drive?

First of all, make sure all the leads are plugged in. Then do a Google search for (CD drive manufacturer) and drivers. Hopefully that might help.
