zOS Systems in laymans terms

I am just about to start learning zOS systems and wanted a brief understanding of various tasks like JES2, VTAM, Autonet.. Wjat order they should come up in after an IPL and why. Please keep it as simple as possible, Thanks

One book you may find useful is IBM Introduction to the New Mainframe: z/OS Basics.

The book provides background knowledge and skills necessary to begin using the basic facilities of a mainframe system.

Well I am so sorry.

If you want to learn about mainframe computers you are not going to learn it in a few simple paragraphs, it may involve you in a bit of work and a bit of reading.

If you cant be bothered to do that you have no hope of ever learning about manframes.

p.s. I have given nearly 5,000 answers in answerbank and I think yours is the rudest and most dismissive answer I have ever had.

How may experts on JES, VTAM etc do you think you get on answerbank !
