I am trying to update my freeserve webpage via ws_ftp le but the get the error ! Retreive of folder listing failed (0)
What does this mean please?

It probably means that it can't connect to your web server.

First, my suggestion would be to use the free filezilla, and not ws_ftp. I've used ws_ftp in the past, and I find it to be an awful program for several reasons.

Secondly, check your server name, username, password and port number, that you're trying to connect to.

filezilla's good and you could try Smartftp that's free as well

Cheers for the suggestions, I found out the problem, what I didnt mention was that I now use orange's livebox, and to access freeserve webspace you need to disable the firewall on the livebox
