Can I ask are you on win XP or something older. Is your keyboard USB or a round ps2 type plug.
You sholud replace like with like for best compatability. If replacing a keyboard on an older computer with a USB one you may have problems. Make sure it comes with driver software before buying.
Otherwise if you have a newish PC with win XP, its basically plug n play, very easy to do.

Yes have Windows XP, but the rest ie USB an' all that is a mystery to me. Suspect that it is a usb plug.
USB plugs are an oblong shape rather than round, so you shouldn't have any problems replacing your keyboard.
