I'm just about to get 'networked'. The router comes with a firewall. Does this mean I don't need one for my ISP, or should I do a belt and braces job and continue with this. I don't want to have 'conflicting' programmes (I know you can't run 2 different anti-virus programmes at once).

My router has a built in firewall, but I still use a software firewall on my pc. The firewall in your router is exactly that - i.e "In your router", so you will not be running two conflicting programs on your pc.
