c drive says its full but i know it is'nt

my c drive says its full but i know it is'nt because i have only recently had it installed

A hard drive can be divided into partitions. So a single hard disk can contain a "C" drive, "D" drive and so on.

Maybe the new hard drive you have had installed is divided into more than one partition, with only a small "C" drive that is now full.

Maybe you have a "D" drive that is sitting there empty.

Use "My Computer" on your desktop to see how many partitions you have on your hard drive.

right click My computer | manage | disc management
you will see each disc on your system and the partitions each one contains.
