Compaq Presario

My insurance company have picked a Compaq Presario C742EM as a replacement laptop for my Acer Extensa 6600.

The compaq spec is better than the Acer and so I am happy.

Does anyone have this Compaq model and if so what do you think of it?

I have the Compaq Presario desktop version and cant really fault it, it has good spec and has behaved itself in the 2 years I have used it.

I had a look at it and it does seem like a good laptop. I do have the option of adding some money as the Insurance company are sending me a voucher for Currys.

I just googled the laptop there and cant believe the price! Excellent value and with 1gig hard drive and good cache memory too, makes me wanna change my own now as the desk top takes up soooo much room.

I have always had a lappy and think that it is more convenient. I am looking forward to having my wireless connection back as it is a pain sitting at the table!
