I need to delete my C drive and reinstall windows. is it possible to copy the driver cache directly from windows folder onto a cd, so that I can retrieve drivers after reinstalling windows. I`ve tried Nero back it up ,but keep getting errors. I would be grateful for any suggestions.

No, you will need to re-install the drivers either from the original disks or by downloading them. The most important is the set of drivers for the motherboard.
