talking to my computer

Can anyone tell me if there is a programe (free hopefully) where I can talk to my computer, store my voice, and then burn it to a cd? If there is how do I go about doing it? greatful for any help.

Audacity is free. It will record your voice via microphone, allow you to edit the recording and save it to your hard drive as a file.

You can burn this file to cd using your usual burning software. I just right click and 'save to' and choose the cd drive.
