Error appeared then floppy disc is not formatted...
4 Answers
Whilst trying to save an excel spreadsheet to a floppy disc, an error appeared, cannot remember what the error was, so I saved it to another disc. When I put the original disc back in the pc to open it, it said disc not formatted. If I format it, will I loose all the data on the disc? please say no..... Is there any way I can recover the data on my disc?? please say yes.......

Floppy disks are not a very reliable way to store data, invest in a usb memory stick would be my advice.

I agree with markysngc, stop using floppy diskettes.
They are unrelable, and most computers are now being shippied without a diskette drive.
As markysngc says, get a USB memory stick like this

They are MUCH more reliable, and can hold the equivalent of hundreds of diskettes.
