I just started up my system after having a completely full hard drive and now all the desktop settings on my user account have disappeared. The guest user account is still functioning as normal. I created a few gigs of space on the hard drive and restarted, then i tried to system restore to yesterdays date but no restore points are available for any date

please can someone help me get my account back

Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaase :(

thanks in advance

What Operating System do you use?
How did you create the extra space. If you removed programmes did you use the Add/Remove function. Could the items you removed have corrupted windows ?

Have you done a sweep of the system with your anti virus + adaware/spybot type applications to see if there are any nasties ?
