what type of disk do I need to use to copy videos from my PC to disk.

It depends on what you want to play it back on really.I would buy DVDR or DVDRW discs.

I paid to download them so its all safe and legal.

Again it isnt porn its of classic TV shows.
if the file size is below 700mb put them on CDR's if it's larger than 700mb then it will have to be DVDR's

Do you simply want to back them up to disk so they can be viewed again on a computer or put them on disk for viewing on a DVD player or suchlike, if it's the later there may be a bit more involved to get them so a DVD player will play them
Paying for the download doesn't necessarily make it legal, btw. Only if you paid an authorised sales agent.

Unless you bought the progs from a reputable site (say, iTunes) you may well have been stung. A common scam is for folks to charge for P2P software and claim that it is legal to download using it.

It was downloaded from a very trusting site and they said it can be burned on to DVDs.
