epson r340 magenta has stopped working

my epson has stopped printing in red i've just replaced all the cartridges cos i havent used it for a while, all the other colours work fine. tried cleaning it could it be blocked. TA

I had the same magenta problem with an Epson CX6400,Tried special cleaning cartridges,a "super" solvent advertised.Nothing worked.Epson recommended running upto 6 cleaning cycles(with a soak period in between.Still no joy.Googling the problem it appears magenta is especially prone to block.End result scrapped the machine (99p on ebay) A new print head was quoted at �75 + installation costs!!Its probably not worth trying more than the 6 ccles.and if that fails- RIP
