what can i say, even virgin helpline didnt help they told me the set box top was the trouble,as it was stopping the uninstall and i needed to upgrade to cable modem, this i did after 3 week wait, but still wasnt the answer.youve come out TOPS,thanks a million,as i trust you what is the best av/firewall/ i can install, thanks again.
JOHN.
Luckily a friend had the same problem and I was determined I wouldn't forget how we fixed it. :)

Two free firewalls I would recommend - take your pick, you should only ever use one at a time.

ZoneAlarm

Comodo
http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

Good free AV if you don't have one - again take your pick

AVG

or Avast
http://www.avast.com/eng/programs.html
(the free version is the second one in the list)
