Desktop-Notepad messages

On start up on my laptop operating on Vista, I get two desktop-notepad panels, one on top of the other,each with the following message.

[.shellclassinfo] LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

Can anyone tell me what these are, and can I safely delete these, so that they don't slow up the computer's start up?
