Conecting new laptop to broadband
Hi Everyone!!
My new laptop has just arrived today (Vista) and i am having some probs sorting out the internet. Maybe one of you could point me in the right direction?
I already have a PC (XP) that is set up with BT Business Broadband. It has a wireless facility but im not using it as i dont have a router. The internet is currently set up using the ethernet cable from the hub into my hard drive.
I have plugged my blue USB cable that was in my broadband set up box into my hub and into my laptop. For a while this morning it was working fine with the internet (10 mins) but now it isnt. The USB has connected and my broadband is working fine with my usual pc.
All the light look ok on my hub. I have tried installing the BT set up disk into the laptop but it wont let me complete the process.
On the laptop network connections pannel it is saying that there is a broadband connection but it is not connected.
Any ideas?? I'm desperate to get everything sorted!! :)
