Webcam installation
My brother's got a Microsoft Lifecam VX1000i. He installed the driver from the disk, which gave him vision but no sound facility.
He uninstalled the driver and then downloaded the relevant one from http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/dow nload.aspx?category=ICE However, when trying to install it, he got the message that there was not enough memory to do so.
The file to download is 117MB and he's got 5.9 GB of hard drive space on his computer. I am, therefore, confused. Does anybody have any idea what he should do?
He's using a PC with Windows 32-bit SP2.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

What it actually said was: "Setup cannot continue because either there is insufficient free hard disk space or an unexpected error has occured." It then goes on to say that hard disk space should be freed up. As he tried installing from the CD and from the web, always getting the same error message, I'm assuming it's not the 'unexpected error' part of the message.
Yes, his system does meet with the minimum spec on the box.
Any ideas?
