I have a packard bell cordless keyboard. Recently I bought a logitech cordless mouse to replace the packard bell one. I can get the mouse to work, but only if I diconnect the packard bell keyboard (which is linked to the pb mouse). If i disconnect the pb mouse and connect the logitech one, then neither mouse nor keyboard works.
Is there a way to make the cordless pb keyboard work with the logitech mouse?

Bit of a stab in the dark this but...

I assume that your wireless devices have a sender unit connected via USB to your PC.

I wonder if you used a USB to PS2 adapter on one of them whether you could then plug that one into it's corresponding PS2 slot on the back of your PC (you know the round ones that are coloured yellow and green I think) thus doing away with the USB conflict which you seem to have?

Nothing ventured etc etc...good luck
those colours I mentioned might be green and purple thinking about it

Hi Camioneur
thank you so much for trying to help.
The pb wireless keyboard and mouse have a sender unit connected to my pc via the purple and green things. There is only one wire which separates at the plug in point.
I don't know which are USB an which are PS2 (ignorance!)

If I simply remove the green connector (mouse) and plug in the logitech one (with its own sender) neither pb keyboard, or logitech mouse works.

If I remove the pb sender wire from both purple and green plugs and just plug in the logitech mouse, it works, but of course I then have no working keyboard.

Do I need to find a way t leave the pb mouse and keyboard plugged in, but also the logitech mouse, and have the two senders on my desk.

Or should I just give in and buy a logitech wireless keyboard ?
thanks again
Maureen
Ahhhh, i see the light, you don't have a USB conflict you have a PS2 problem.

I'm not saying that 2 seperate wireless devices won't work together but I think it unlikely.
If you need to be wireless I'd buy a destop set (keyboard and mouse) but then you'd have wasted the money you already spent on the new mouse. My original suggestion may still work but in reverse though and worth a try, Leave your old stuff pugged in and plug your new mouse into a USB slot using an adapter. USB slots are flat, and about half an inch long, sorry that's just over 1 cm in foreign money. They are usually found in groups of 2 or 4 on the rear and sometimes a couple on the front of the PC also.
