My mum has a packard bell laptop that is confusing us at the moment. She recently signed up to aol broadband with a speedtouch wireless router but after about 24hrs it was losing connection. The tech guys guided us through resetting the router and laptop a few different times only for us to come to the conclusion that the router was at fault and because my mum had no contract they would not replace the router. She cancelled the account and went to orange mobile broadband and my sister set up the package fine and everything was working fine. Then, after another 24 hrs, the internet connection went down again leading me to believe that there is a problem with the laptop. Im sorry this is a bit long winded but could anyone give some advice please.
i would look at removing any aol or speedtouch software from the computer. Make sure that windows is upto date then allow it to manage the wireless connection
