It is the very bad scripting on AnswerBank that is causing the problems - there is nothing you can do about it.

Logging out and logging back in again seems to work for a short time.
AB certainly has some weird scripting (that can cause problems) but I'm surprised that Ethel (who is one of AB's most well-respected contributors) didn't suggest the obvious option of simply trying another browser.

Most of the 'regulars', around here, have been using Firefox for ages:
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

However, there's naturally been a recent rush to try out Chrome:
http://www.google.com/chrome

Unless there's something very seriously wrong with your computer, you should find that AB will load in at least one of those browsers.

Chris

BTW: Because I'm using Windows ME (which doesn't support Firefox 3 or Chrome), I'm using Firefox 2. AB seems to be loading OK for me at the moment.
I have had the same problem, (almost) and I de-installed Firefox and reinstalled IE.....problem solved. Just to be sure I reinstalled Firefox and AB problem returned. Have now uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled IE..problem solved.
I will take some convincing that it is the AB site that is at fault.
I've been running Firefox 2 since it was recommended by AB users, but I find that it regularly crashes when scrolling back up the page, so I've changed to using opera for this site: no problems!
Just 5 minutes ago I downloaded and installed Firefox 3, shall see if that works any better.
Interestingly, truffles under Technology posed the question that he could not access the paypal website and was using Firefox. It was suggested that he tried with IE and then his access worked perfectly. Just a thought re, previous threads.
