Can someone please remind me how to put my system back a week or so, to get rid of a problem?

you need to close your pc, then re-open in "safe mode".. keep pressing F8 while it's setting up. the you should be able to chose, "last good configuration" and specify a date.

Or System Restore -
Just type System into the search box on the start menu in Vista . In XP start > all programs > accessories > system tools > System restore . Find the date you need & restore to that .

You should try to cure the problem instead of doing a system restore.
