Can anyone please tell me, why I cant play avi files through wmp. when wmv files are fine. I have tried all sorts. Im on windows XP. Thanks

Tony, certain versions of WMP will play .avi files, others won't (in my experience) unless you download certain codecs.

Look at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992.

Hope this helps to solve you problem.
