Help, laptop has no volume

For some reason, the built in speakers on my laptop no longer work. They worked 2 weeks ago, but not anymore. Perhaps I've done something to turn them off, without realising.

I've checked my control panel and volume levels are at 100%. I've also turned the volume up, using the volume wheel at the front, but still nothing. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Thanks, I don't think it's muted, seems to be ok there, but still no sound.
Have you plugged anything in to the headphone socket?

Have you got the volume right up?
