word 2007

Earlier versions showed the location of a docuemt on screen or its origin could be discovered by looking at Properties,
When working on a W 2007 doc nothing about its origin seems to be shown nor can I find any way to find it except by going into Recent Doc or Search. Am I missing a button or what?.

Open a new page, type any letter & switch off pc. Next time you open Word it will show the panel for unfiled docs. Klik on the panel to see where it files and you should find your doc.

I tried and tried to find a way other than turning off the PC, terambulan, and eventually found that after Search had exhibited the 'lost' doc. by Rt clicking *before* opening it, up came a chance to look at Properties.
Bingo.
