Hi I tunred my computer on and off from the switch on the back and once I did that I pushed the on button on the front on the PC. It came up with Dell. I could push F2 for setup and F12 for bootup. But dont know if I should push it. Then that goes off which is what it should do but then I get this - That sign keeps flashing in the top left hand coner. Nothing else. HELP!

What did you do....? Turn it off then back on again is the solution to 95% of PC problems.
Jammy............is it a totally black screen, with a little sort of minus sign flashing in the top left hand corner................

if so.........that was often a classic sign of hard disk failure........I think you'll have to get it checked out :o(
I leave my PC on all the time but as I dont use it it goes into sleep mode this could be done from few mins to five hours. Any movment of the mouse or keys starts the pc up.
