Can anyone help? Meant to have sussed this before I get back to work but I'm stuck!

I've got a set of cells in excel with dates in them. I need to try and make up a formula that will change the colour of the cell when a certain number of days has passed. (i.e. cell dated 1/1/09 needs to change orange when 30 days have passed and turn red after 60 days have passed).

Can anyone help or I think I'll be doing this on New Years Eve!
