Laptop on bootup says it cannot execute CEC_main.exe, please re-install it. Where do I find it?

Presumably your laptop has a built in webcam. CEC_Main is the tray icon that lets you adjust such things as brightness and contrast for the camera. You should have it as part of the software that came with you laptop, Either on a CD/DVD or in the recovery partition.

it's a camera control file for webcams.

Even if you actually have and use a webcam it's not really needed so you can simply remove it from the startup

Click Start > run and type MSCONFIG and hit enter

Then click on the startup tab, have a look down the list for CEC_main.exe and remove the tick from next to it. click OK and do a restart and it should be OK.
