personalise files in xp?

can anyone tell me if i can download something so that i can personalise (put pics in change text colour etc) files in win xp? ?

Please explain what you mean by a 'file'.

Every block of data on your computer (e.g. a program, a Word document, an Excel spreadsheet, a picture, etc) is a 'file'. (There are nearly 27,000 of them on my PC). Are you referring to things like Word documents or do you mean the icons which represent files (and which, of course, are also files themselves)? Or do you mean something completely different?

chris , i made a new folder in my docs and i named it my music , i want to be able to change the text colour and the background , i used to be able to do it in win 98 but it seems win xp wont allow it ?

To change folder background and text colour easily in windows XP, you might find the freeware
windowpaperXP program handy.
