no sound now

after moving from xp to vista i have lost all sound,any ideas

goto to your computer manufacturers website and check the support section to see if there are vista drivers available for the sound card for your computer

Gotta tell you though, that after I moved one of my machines to Vista, I spent weeks trying to get the sound to work - it insisted it was working - it's just that no sound actually came out!

In the end, I disabled the on board sound card and bought a soundblaster plugin card.

Don't understand why anybody would want to "upgrade" from XP to vista by choice though.

(I use the word upgrade very loosely)
